DESCRIPTION:\n\nA lot happened in the past five years. Churches ministered through many hardships primarily brought on by a pandemic. As a result\, churches struggled just to keep congregations connected\, continue ministry safely\, and survive even during closure.\n\nAs we reflect on Paul’s words in II Corinthians it surely captures the challenges of the past few years: We patiently endure troubles and hardships and calamities of every kind. We have been beaten\, worked to exhaustion\, endured sleepless nights… yet\, the passage also says: indeed\, the “right” time is now. In everything we do\, we show that we are true ministers of God.\n\nGod provides all of Creation as the stage\, faithful stewards as the cast\, and a needy world as the audience! So\, indeed the time is now to turn up the lights\, adjust the sound\, open the curtain\, it’s show time! Time for churches to show the true ministers of God which they were pre-pandemic and can be again!\n\nThe UCC Illinois Conference Stewardship Committee looks forward to a stronger\, more hopeful future with churches throughout the conference. Prayerfully consider joining us at Peace Memorial Church\, 10300 West 131st Street\, Palos Park\, IL 60464 for our June 1st seminar. Engage in our workshops: Three Best Practices to open churches to the greater works of generosity and Telling the Story\, a teaching tool to share how churches make a difference through ministry and programs. You can register at the door\, but we cannot guarantee meals for day of registrations. If you have special dietary needs\, preregistration is required in order to accommodate these needs.\n\nIt is best to complete the registration on a computer and not a mobile device. You will receive a confirmation via e-mail once you have registered.
