DESCRIPTION:\n\nChicago Metropolitan Association Fall Business Meeting\nSaturday\, October 5\, 2024\n4:00-6:30 PM via Zoom\n(Registration Details below)\n\nReturn\, Re-Connect\, Re-Commit\n\nThis year’s Chicago Metropolitan Association Fall meeting will be virtual only focused on Association and Conference business items. There are several things we will be discussing:\n\n\tNew Constitution & Bylaws Proposal\n\tCamp Forward Proposal\n\tAssociation Business - Budgets & Funds\, Nominating\, Thank Yous\n\nThe nominating slate and other voting items will be shared as soon as they are prepared. There will be a way for you to access the ballot and vote online even if you are unable to attend the meeting. Documents regarding the proposals being discussed will also be shared in advance of the meeting so that you may look at them before the conversations take place.\n\nIf you aren't sure who counts as a voting member of the Association\, please see the information below with explanations from our Bylaws.\nZoom Information\n\nYou are invited to a Zoom meeting.\nWhen: Oct 5\, 2024 04:00 PM Central Time (US and Canada)\n\nYou must register in advance for this meeting. Lay Delegates from the Local Church\nEvery Local Church that has standing shall be entitled to representation in the Association by two (2) voting lay delegates\, and in addition thereto\, each Local Church shall be entitled to representation by one (1) voting youth delegate (a person at least 14 years of age and not older than 22 at date of election). The Local Church shall choose its own lay and youth delegates.\n\nB. Historically-Related UCC Institutions\nEach historically-related United Church of Christ institution in the Chicago metropolitan area that wishes to do so shall appoint one individual to serve as a representative to the Association with voice and one (1) vote at Annual Association Meetings.\n\nC. Ministers\nAll ordained\, commissioned\, and licensed ministers who have standing in the Association shall be voting members at the Annual Spring and Fall Meetings of the Association.\n\nD. Association Council Members\nThe elected members of the Association Council shall be voting members at the Annual Spring and Fall Meetings of the Association during their term of office.
