SUMMARY:Eastern Fall Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Hello Friends!\nThis year’s Fall Business Meeting will take place at Plainfield Congregational Church on Saturday\, September 27th from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm. Registration will begin at 9:00 am.\nThe speakers for the event will be Rev. John Dorhauer\, Kay Quinney-Burnard\, Rev. Roger Dart\, and Rev. Barbara Lohrbach. The event will begin with opening worship and the business session. After lunch\, there will be a session on opportunities in the Eastern Association including Committee on Ministry\, Stewardship\, and Mission. The event will conclude with a Mission Project workshop. Information on the project can be found in the resource section.\nVOTING REPRESENTATION shall consist of one lay delegate from each local congregation and all ordained\, licensed and commissioned ministers with standing in the Eastern Association. In addition\, each church shall be entitled to representation by one voting youth delegate (a person at least 14 years of age\, but not older than 22). A church of 800 or more members shall have one additional delegate and one additional youth delegate. And\, of course\, any church member can attend!\nRegistration is being done online through Realm. Cost is $30 per person\, which includes lunch (please specify any dietary needs during registration).\nYou can pay online directly when registering by choosing "Pay Now" or you can pay by cash or check by choosing the "Pay In-Person" option during checkout. Please make checks payable to "Illinois Conference UCC" and include "EA Fall Meeting" in the memo line.\nThe deadline to register is September 15th. We have included a list so that you may be able to shop and bring the following items to the meeting. Please Note: There is a small change in the list this year.\n\nWe hope your church will participate and bring the items to be packed. Perhaps your church wants to pick from the list and have folks bring several of the same items\, i.e. some get toothbrushes\, others bring washcloths or any of the other specific items on the list. We will provide the gallon bags for the packing. We also understand everyone can’t get out to shop. So we are also gratefully accepting financial donations!
