SUMMARY:Fox Valley Fall Meeting
DESCRIPTION:This year’s Fox Valley Association Fall Business Meeting will take place from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday\, October 11 at First Congregational Church in Downers Grove. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.\n\nThe theme for this year’s event is Many Voices\, New Horizons.\n\nThe special guest for the event is Amy Allan\, who worked on the First Nations Version of the Psalms and Proverbs. She will be presenting on that work.\n\nMeeting Agenda:\n\n\t8:30 - 9:00 - Registration and Coffee\n\t9:00 - 9:45 - Worship\n\t9:45 - 10:30 - Governance Presentation\n\t10:30 - 10:45 - Break\n\t10:45 - 11:30 - Keynote Speaker Amy Allan on the First Nations Translations of the Bible\n\t11:30 - 12:15 - Business Meeting\, including a report from Stewardship Team\n\t12:30 - Lunch\n\nCost is $40 per person\, $20 for Members in Discernment\, which includes lunch (please specify any dietary needs during registration). There is also a virtual only option for $25.\n\nYou can pay online directly when registering by choosing "Pay Now" or you can pay by cash or check at the door by choosing the "Pay In-Person" option during checkout. Please make checks payable to "First Congregational Downers Grove."\n\nThe deadline to register is October 5. Register online here.\n\nAfter registering\, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. If a confirmation email doesn’t arrive within 5 minutes or you need help registering\, call the Conference Office at 708-344-4470 (Monday-Friday\, 8:30-4:30) and talk to Naomi or Sarah.\n\nVoting membership of any meeting of the Association will consist of the members of the Association Council\, all ordained\, licensed and commissioned ministers holding standing in the Fox Valley Association\, all volunteer staff as appointed by the Association Council\, and two (2) adult delegates and one (1) youth delegate from each church.
