DESCRIPTION:This Saturday\, October 15\, the DeKalb County Historical-Genealogical Society will dedicate three signs in DeKalb County at significant sites commemorating the active role of the county in the 19th century Underground Railroad.  The first sign will be unveiled at Mayfield Congregational UCC\, 28405 Church Road\, Sycamore at 8:30 am.  The program will include an invocation by Rev. Dr. Martha Brunell\, a ten minute presentation by Nancy Beasley\, author of The Underground Railroad in DeKalb County\, Illinois\, and light refreshments.  Please join us for this special celebration.
